Here at Riverbanc we have it all. We’ve got the best coffee shop in North Wales (our words), awesome accommodation and also activities all under one huge roof. This is Llangollen’s premier venue to visit. If single origin coffee is your thing we’ve got it. Loose leaf tea we've got it. Adrenaline fueled activities we’ve also got it.

We have 7 fanatastic bedrooms, all ensuite ranging from doubles over looking the River Dee to family rooms looking out over the hills of Llangollen.

Double Room with Town View

Overlooking Llangollen town centre these stunning rooms are both Ensuite with smart T.V’s and Double/King sized beds, perfect for couples.

Double Room with River View

These rooms over looks the River Dee and features a King Sized bed, Smart TV and Ensuite shower room amongst other fantastic features. This is definitely a firm favourite.

Triple Room with River View

These amazing rooms look out over The River Dee and feature brand new bespoke King Sized beds with a bunk bed built over the top. Sleeping two adults and one child.

Family Room with River View

Spectacular views of the River Dee, Super King sized bed and built in bunk beds make this room our most popular family room. The beds can be split to make two single beds.

Family Room with Town View

Our largest room overlooking the Town Square this room has a Super King sized bed and handmade bunkbeds. Sleeping 4 people this is a light and airy room.

Whole Building Hire

A large family group, work colleagues, friends why not hire the whole building. You get all seven bedrooms to share amongst the group.

How the Hotel Works

We operate a keyless PIN entry system. No Hassle with keys, come and go as you please. Entrance is through a gated alleyway or if you arrive before 4:15pm a member of staff from the cafe can show you around.

The hotel has CCTV in communal areas and an emergency ‘on call’ number should you have any trouble during your stay. Check in is at 3pm, unfortunately we cannot offer an earlier time due to cleaning time required. Check out is at 10am.

Breakfast is included in the price of the room and is provided in our cafe situated on street level.

There is a wide choice that caters for many dietary requirements. As the hotel is manned partially we require a mobile number and email address for health and safety purposes. Quiet hours are between 11pm and 7am and we ask that guests respect these as we often have families with children staying with us.

2016

Riverbanc is part of Safe and Sound Outdoors started in 2011 and by 2016 the company was growing beyond its base so the decision was made to find some new premises. We had walked past the old Midland Bank building daily but never really thought about it. It was too big for what we needed but it was in the perfect location. It backed on to the River Dee and had frontage onto the centre off Llangollen. Problem was that it was in a bad state of repair and like I said it was huge. “What could we do with it?”

2017

One of the overriding ideas behind buying Riverbanc was that we could run activities from there, have a fantastic coffee shop and maybe some accommodation. Pretty quickly our thoughts went from bunkhouse style accommodation to more up market accommodation. We settled initially on 6 bedrooms, a classroom and a store room in the upstairs section of the building. The building is Grade 2 listed so special care needed to be taken with the build to retain the many features that the building had...
